ADOBE LIGHTROOM MOBILE SETUP GUIDE (Scroll for Lightroom Classic setup guide)

This article is to help you install the Adobe Lightroom Mobile presets. The .dng files are image files with pictures I have taken that have the presets inbuilt into them, the thumbnail wont always show the edits, so don’t worry, once they’re imported you will see the edits and be able to save the preset.

  1. Make sure you have Lightroom Mobile on your IOS or Android device by downloading from your play store or app store.

  2. Purchase/download your preset pack from the namedgrady shop.

  3. Open your email with the download .zip file (valid for 24 hours, once expired you’ll need to click your email and a new link will be sent to you at no extra cost)

  4. Unzip your files, if you’re unsure how to do this,

    a) Click for Apple IOS support

    b) For Android, open files, find the download (check recents), click the .zip file and a list of all files should come up to extract.

    c) For PC/MAC, open downloads, double click on the .zip file to extract files. You will need to then send these .dng files to your mobile either via email/cloudshare.

Ignore all .xmp as these are for Lightroom Classic on desktop.

  5. Once you’ve extracted your .dng files, open up Lightroom mobile and click and create new album (if you import your .dng files into your gallery and you have already been using Lightroom. The .dng images will be lost among your images as they contain different dates in their metadata)

  6. Import your .dng (picture) files that you’ve extracted to the album. You should now see a collection of images. (each of these has a different preset built into it.

  7. Open an image (I would recommend doing this in order).

  8. Using the bar at the bottom scroll to you find presets and click on it.

  9. Click the menu option (three dots) and press create preset.

  10. Make sure all boxes (not geometry or tools) are ticked, name the preset (and put in preset group if you like).

  11. Repeat steps 7-10 for all images each with a new name.

  12. To access presets, on your own images that you’ve imported or taken on Lightroom mobile, scroll along to the presets tab and now the presets you’ve recently named will come up allowing you to add these presets to your images!
