Why I’ve started to write a blog!
To be completely honest with you, I’m hoping that in a few months I will answer that question with some confidence and an actual answer. For now, i can only hypothesise. I’m sure its a combination of a few things like wanting to become a better writer, the voice in my head that says content is key, the voice in my ears that says start a blog (thanks to Eric and Neil), but really, it’s mainly so that hopefully I will one day write something of value to you, the person who is reading this. Now I can’t promise you that this one particular blog will be ground breaking for you. I can however, promise you that in the coming blogs I will try to bring you enjoyable, somewhat educational and at the very least easily readable content for your commute, toilet break at work, before bed routine or whenever you consume your daily interweb readings.
So I guess I should introduce myself, Hi, my name is Grady (I know, very imaginative personal branding with “NAMEDGRADY”). I’m 27 (at the time of writing this) and I currently live on the Gold Coast, Australia. Up until March this year I was living in the United Kingdom, running pubs/bars and trying to explore as much of the European continent a I could. I moved to England 5 years ago with a suitcase and a visa, nothing else. An experience I cannot recommend enough and a large underlying theme behind these blogs will be travel/putting yourself out there, because without those two things, I wouldn’t have had half the life I’ve had! I also enjoy surfing, photography, ice skating (need a winter sport to keep you fit in the UK), digital marketing, running, family time, pop punk (i know, i’m still an emo kid at heart) and almost any new experience life throws at me that gets the adrenaline pumping! Ohhh and sushi, I LOVE sushi!
So thats me, and thats where i’m at right now. So you can look forward to more rambles from me about travel, photography, marketing, shooting experiences, maybe even the odd blog about pop punk, who knows. More likely than not though, I will be writing the “how to’s” and “do’s and don’ts” when starting out with a camera in your hand because I wish that I HAD READ MORE OF THESE, as well as sharing a few experiences where I learnt LOADS from a few special individuals.
