Tripod Shooting 101
I was given these three tips by my first ever photography teacher and inspiration for all things photography/business Lauren Bath (also check her IG out here) and they have stuck with me ever since. They are SO helpful and if you’re just starting out with a camera, they’ll save you a LOAD of hassle!
Leave your mount attached the bottom of your camera, you hardly notice it and that way you never lose it and you’re always ready to shoot.
Turn image stabiliser off on your lens, this feature is great for handheld shooting, but on a tripod the little motors that stabilise shots can cause shake when on a tripod. (especially shooting at a high focal length 100mm+)
Use a shutter remote or app if your camera allows wifi connection, alternatively use a short self timer if none of these other options work for you. This is because if you press the shutter button whilst the camera is mounted on the tripod the pushing of the button will cause the camera to shake and therefore blur your shot.
And with that, my third blog post is done,
Until next time,
